July 4th, 2002 - Chalfont Parade

To sum it up in one word:  Hot.  Two words:  Hot, Humid.  Three Words: Hot, Humid, Loud.  We mainly went for one reason, the fire engines.  Luckily there wasn't a fire during the parade.  I think every truck in Central Bucks was there today.  Besides the police cars, antique cars, new cars, and various marching bands, we also saw a special appearance of "Swoop" the Philadelphia Eagles mascot, and a few of the cheerleaders.  Natalie didn't like "Swoop". I must say, he did look a little scary up close.

I had to put some sounds on this page.  Click on the text below to hear some of my best Fire Engine recordings from the parade.

Natalie and Mommy

BagPipe Marching Band

These guys didn't sound too good when their music was combined with the blaring sirens just behind them.

Loud!

No firetruck is complete without Dalmations.

Very Loud.

Literally Tons and Tons of Fire Trucks on Park Avenue

The local Lion's Club Float

These guys were pretty good.

Kristina is enjoying the parade in the shade.

Eagles Mascot: Swoop!

These girls didn't mind getting their picture taken. Natalie however, didn't want anything to do with this bird.

Um.. Just Cheerleaders.

Enough said.
